Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the integration of STEM methods into the teacher training system in the context of the digital transformation of education. The relevance of the work is due to the need for teachers to develop professional competencies that meet the requirements of the modern educational environment and the digital economy. The purpose of the study is to analyze and select key STEM methods that ensure the effective development of digital, critical, research, and design engineering competencies of teachers. The research methods used are analysis of scientific sources, systematization of pedagogical practices, modeling and development of a matrix of compliance with STEM methods, competencies, indicators and forms of control. As a result, a set of STEM methods was formed and a model for their integration into the teacher training process was developed, ensuring the measurability and reproducibility of learning outcomes. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the systematization of STEM methods based on competence-based and ontological approaches. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of applying the results obtained in the development of professional development programs for teaching staff.
