Abstract

The article discusses the possibilities and limitations of SAGA GIS for processing digital models of the Earth's surface and freely available remote sensing materials on the example of specialized mapping of mudflow risk near the Bukhtarminskaya HPP. The results of SRTM and DEM processing, as well as spectral images from Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 satellites in the SAGA environment were analyzed to predict intense pressure in water dams. Based on the materials of remote sensing of the Earth, the most effective plug-ins and indexes for GIS analysis of territories from the point of view of assessing the potential danger of mudflows have been determined.
