Abstract

The current development of metallurgical production is characterized by the search for new technological solutions aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality. One of the most promising areas is the combination of continuous casting and rolling processes within casting and rolling units. These complexes allow the use of liquid metal heat, minimize the number of intermediate operations, and increase the productivity of metallurgical enterprises. The article analyzes existing solutions in the field of casting and rolling technologies, considers their advantages and disadvantages, and summarizes global and domestic experience in their implementation. Particular attention is paid to the problems arising during the operation of casting and rolling mills, as well as promising directions for their further development. The results obtained can be used in the modernization of existing enterprises, the design of new production facilities, as well as for educational and scientific purposes.
