Providing stable and high-quality communication services in remote and isolated areas remains a major global challenge for achieving digital inclusion and supporting socio-economic development. This study examines the relevance and effectiveness of implementing a mobile satellite communication system for providing broadband connectivity in areas without terrestrial infrastructure.
The primary goal of this research is to assess the technical capabilities, operational reliability, and practical efficiency of a mobile satellite communications system under real-world conditions. Methods used in the study included experimental measurements of network latency, data transfer speeds, signal-to-noise ratio, and connection stability.
The results showed that the system reached download speeds of up to 7.5 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 0.5 Mbps, with an average network latency of approximately 750 milliseconds. No packet loss or retransmissions were recorded during testing, confirming the excellent quality and reliability of the communication link.
This research has practical significance in its ability to provide fast broadband communication for multiple users in emergency situations, scientific expeditions, and remote communities. It also has theoretical significance in the development of new models for mobile satellite communication systems, aiming to improve mobility, data transfer rates, and service quality in difficult geographical conditions.
In addition, implementing such systems can help to bridge the digital divide, improve educational accessibility, support remote healthcare services, and increase the overall quality of life in less developed areas. The research findings suggest that vehicle-mounted communication systems are a promising technological solution for enhancing the availability of digital services, fostering economic integration, and promoting sustainable development in remote and isolated areas.
